This year Rochas decided (perfume wise) to get a stronger presence in the UK, that would include a closer relationship with the influencers and perfume reviewers, so that’s how a lovely bottle of the latest release landed in my hands it was Mademoiselle Rochas Couture. It has been a very long time since the last time I tested a Rochas fragrance and I was really excited when I got it because as we talked many times in this blog and social media, I’m a bit fed up of the over abuse of flankers and the re inventions who end up killing classics of the perfumerie history, and this is something why I love Rochas if they do a flanker it’s only one or two (except the Eau Rochas which are very different between each other)
Sadly I haven’t tried the Original Mademoiselle Rochas or the Eau de Toilette version or I least I don’t remember doing it, but for some reason every time I ready the word “couture” in one fragrance I know that it would be very sweet and unique, and yes I was totally right.
THE NOTES
- Top Notes: Pink Pepper, Pear, Bergamot
- Heart Notes: Orange Blossom, Lily-of-the-valley, Heliotrope
- Base Notes: Musk, Tonka Bean & Sandalwood
Elegant and vibrant, Mademoiselle Rochas Couture opens on a combination of spicy notes, with pink pepper, pear and bergamot. The composition then exudes softness with a heart of orange blossom, lily-of-the-valley and heliotrope. Intoxicating white flowers, accented with musks, tonka beans and sandalwood, envelops its wearer in elegance and sensuality, revealing an incredibly couture signature.
This is a very beautiful Eau de Parfum probably one of the best releases so far from 2019, I’m surprised they didn’t wait till the autumn/winter season to release it as it’s a very powerful fragrance for the summer time, The tonka and the sandalwood gives a very sweet and strong presence to this fragrance the musk is here but not in a “rude” way it has more to assure that fantastic sillage the fragrance has, this is remarkable for me as now days we get more and more sweet perfumes coming out and yes when you spray it on your wrist for the first two hours they smell great but after that is actually gone, they are a fixation issue which this perfume doesn’t have it, eight hours non stop of great sillage, a lot of compliments.
For what type of women would I recommend it? the ones that have issues with perfumes performance or longevity on the skin pH, the very sweet perfume lovers, and the ones who look for a scent with a very strong entrance that would make people turn their heads and get asked a lot which perfume it’s, clearly a perfume for a girl with personality.
Mademoisele Rochas Couture is a EDP available at 30 ml, 50ml and 90 ml
