Review: Antipodes, Flora and Credo Probiotic Skincare

On a regular basis when we talk about nutrition and how to keep a healthy gut and as a result a healthy skin, we talk about probiotics. In simple terms probiotics are the good bacteria that our body needs specially our digestive system to keep it working, normally when we have a lack of probiotics  is when we suffer from inflammation, chronic abdominal pain, food intolerance etc and fast enough we start seeing the effects on our skin.

SkinCare Routine With Clinical Skin

For a couple of weeks I have being trying out some products from Clinical Skin, and American brand that sadly it’s only available in America and Canada. Grounded in advanced clinical science, cosmeceutical formulas, like those developed by Clinical Skin, go far beyond what you’d typically buy in a department or drug store. Synthesizing optimal combinations of superpower ingredients, such as antioxidants, vitamins and proteins used to promote skin health, they’re then stabilized to ensure optimum efficacy.

Review: Kiehl’s, Calendula Petal-Infused Calming Mask

When it comes to skincare routine I exfoliate my face twice a week, so after that I keep going with a serum and moisturiser although I tend to replace the moisturiser with a overnight mask as I consider them to nourish far better specially after an exfoliation, so far my favourites are the ones from Kiehl’s, this time I tried out the Calendula Petal-Infused Calming Mask. On another adventure to keep discovering Kiehl’s products I have been trying out the Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil Herbal concentrate, I have previously posted about the cleanser from this range that was a game changer when it comes to hormonal acne. Few days ago I had a bad break out after testing out the new Givenchy Prisme Libre foundation, I didn’t even remember the last time a foundation ended up being so nasty to my skin and luckily during those days this bad boy from Kiehl’s arrived so I had the perfect excuse to testing it out. Review: Antipodes, Culture Probiotic Night Recovery Water Cream

We probably heard more about “probiotics” in food and of course the benefits of a healthy diet but lately in the beauty world we started to hear about them as part of skincare products. To make it simple the skin is a microbiome where you have all kind of bacteria good and bad that your body needs to keeps the balance, the probiotics are live bacteria that support the healthy bacteria in your body and as we age there are changes on the skin pH and microbiome so this is when helping out with skincare products with probiotics might be a good idea, so today I want to introduce one option that is 100% natural and Vegan.  Continue reading “Review: Antipodes, Culture Probiotic Night Recovery Water Cream”

Review: The Body Shop, CBD Range

CBD is an acronym for cannabidiol. It is one of many compounds called cannabinoids that are extracted from the cannabis sativa plant, also known as hemp, for their many different benefits. Even though hemp seed oil and CBD come from the same plant, they do not have the same benefits because they’re not extracted the same way. Continue reading “Review: The Body Shop, CBD Range”

Review: Institut Esthederm, Intensive Hyaluronic Skincare Routine

During the last couple of years we started to hear about Hyaluronic Acid applied to skincare products but many times there is a misconception that HA is reserved for dry skin, Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a sugar found naturally in our skin that holds water and helps keep it hydrated and plump. The HA within our bodies holds a thousand times its weight in water to not only retain all that moisture in our skin and joints, but also prevent all that moisture from evaporating into the air, now just like elastin and collagen this one also decrease in production as we get older so here is when we have to do our part to estimulate the production, internally as you can imagine our diet plays a vital role, no rocking science vegetables and fruits are in the top of the list, externally we can help our skin with skincare products like serums, creams, masks that keep the skin moisturised, helping to reduce the Transepidermal water loss. Continue reading “Review: Institut Esthederm, Intensive Hyaluronic Skincare Routine”

Review: Bioderma, Atoderm Body Care Routine For Normal, Dry And Atopic Skin

For so many years I didn’t really pay attention to what I have been using as body cream or shower gel, I have to admit that most of the time I used to choose highly scented products, never read the ingredients list, it was like the only part of my skin that deserved good treatment was my face and totally left my body aside. It was not till I got a bit of eczema due to the harsh products I was using on my skin but also to wash my clothes that I ended up being more selective and lately had an urticaria caused by stress so really had to be careful with my body care routine to don’t make the condition even worst.
