Perfume Review: Precious Pink Jasmine by Trish McEvoy

On my way to make a list of best spring/summer fragrances options I managed to test Precious Pink Jasmine by Trish McEvoy, I have had few make up items from the brand in the past but never tried any of the perfume range and I was looking for floral options for those who are not fan of  “Too floral” perfumes, I was looking for something more delicate, unique in terms of notes and the right balance between floral and sweet, suddenly I remembered this fragrance so I decided to test it and it was a very nice surprise. Perfume Review: Fleur Burlesque by Vilhelm Parfumerie

“Unflinching, exquisite femininity. Inspired by La Belle Époque. A woman, alive in the spotlight at the Moulin Rouge, enchantingly a glow in the soft candlelight of Maxim’s.”  The name and the short description were enough for me to feel tempted to try out this fragrance and sure enough it didn’t disappoint. Perfume Review: 100 by Trish McEvoy

AirBrush_20200109195810

When we talk about about Trish McEvoy we normally think about makeup but not so much about the lovely perfume collection, except if we visit department stores and we can see them displayed and ready to try out.

Time ago I was lucky enough to try out Precious Pink Jasmine and really loved it so this time I went for a Floral Oriental option, the notes really called my attention so I’m really excited to share this Eau de Parfum called 100. Continue reading “Perfume Review: 100 by Trish McEvoy”

Review: Thalgo, Clarifying Water Essence

IMG-20200115-WA0003

Even when essences have been on the market for a while, not many brands produce them, actually they are kind of exclusive to medium to luxury ones and still you would need to know where to find them, but still many people wouldn’t know what they are, how to use it and most important they are not meant to replace any other product. Perfume Review: La Route d’Emeraude by Isabey

InstaSave-2

First launch in 1924, “La Route d’Emeraude” The road to the Emerald Triangle from Isabey was designed by Julien Viard, in a faceted bottle and a jewel-like case, reminiscent of the splendor of the Far East. This perfume is inspired, with a touch of nostalgia, by the journey leading to the “Emerald Triangle” (Thailand, Laos and Cambodia), filled with the scents of Jasmine Sambac and blooming flowers. Many Orient lovers took the path to these faraway lands and experienced sensations that are recaptured in this re-edition of the mythical perfume. Gold leather (cordovan) effect, distinctive of La Route d’Emeraude previous designs, has been preserved. The fragrance has been slightly changed. Zelens, Defence SPF 30 & Lip Treatment Oil Review

IMG_20191012_165854

One product I tend to run out quite fast is the Facial SPF and I have to admit I only use Body SPF during the summer, but something that worries me is that many people only cares about using SPF during the sunny months when it’s actually a everyday use product during the whole year, this is not only about the skin getting burnt, getting wrinkles in few years is also to avoid skin cancer, so today I want to share with you 3 products from Zelens, a great dermatological brand with very nice formulas. Windle & Moodie, Ultra Nourishing Collection Review

windle

Anyone who has very damaged hair knows how hard it is to bring it back to life, one of the most important factors is knowing how to choose quality and free products such as parabens and silicones that give a false appearance of “healthy” when the reality is very different, the problem that has even happened to me is that when I use products free of these ingredients my hair is obviously shown as it is: dry, damaged, full of frizz, etc. I preferred to sacrifice myself and continue using harmful products just to tame my hair. I decided a couple of months ago that I wanted to have long hair again because I do not tolerate the same haircut that everyone now wears, so I decided to make it grow but it was healthy when the Ultra Nourishing line from Windle & Moodie was great help. MAC, Studio Waterweight Foundation

IMG_0780

It has been a while since the last time I used a MAC foundation and normally would be the classics from the brand so when I saw this I noticed I have never tried it before and the name really caught my attention, I’m talking about the Waterweight SPF 30 Foundation. I said many times down here I do have normally oily skin except on winter that could actually turn into dry, another thing I always say is that I hate cakey make up and how I see on the street and even beauty consultants wear an overdose of high coverage foundation, no, no, no. Many of you would say “Elle I want full coverage because I have bad skin, I have acne, rosacea or any other issue” great you can get a full coverage but without making so obvious to others eyes, plus there is nothing more annoying of that heavy foundation sensation on your face, well here we have one solution. Valmont, Perfecting Powder Cream Foundation

img_0486.jpg

Less is more, from the “No Make up Make up” to the Glass Skin many women realise that looking natural and fresh could be far nicer than the diva look, because is not nice when you can notice the excess of foundation from meters away, and far more important a natural makeup would make you look far younger and would help also a lot to keep your skin younger but not all foundations do that that’s why today I want to share the one I have been loving lately and is the Perfecting Powder Cream by Valmont. Continue reading “Valmont, Perfecting Powder Cream Foundation”

12 Weeks Of IPL Hair Removal With Smooth Skin Muse

My story with removal has been always been a big drama for me, my skin is olive during the summer and pale during the winter and my hair is dark brown which makes any non pleasant to see hair very easy to actually see. I always struggled with hair removal methods, I always saw other girls saying so happily that they shave their legs or under arms and they look flawless, in my case the shaved legs for example would last me a day, the next one I would actually start to feel them like sand paper plus my legs would get full of ungrown hair. Waxing also never was good for me, my skin is very sensitive and even when the wax was almost cold still it managed to leave dark marks on my skin and it was not really good removing hair. Creams: same result as shaving, Little Classic Machines: This ones helped to make the hair growing a bit slower but I cannot resist the pain so much so normally I ended up doing half of my legs and shaving the other half. img_0244.jpg

The past weeks I have been using two products from the Collagène Collection from Thalgo a French luxury marine cosmetic brand, Thalgo formulas are kind to skin and the environment: Do not contain parabens, mineral oils, propylene glycol, GMOs or ingredients of animal origin (Except beeswax and collagen) I think this is wonderful for having a healthy and safe skin care routine in a long basis and it was on the reasons I wanted to try the brand as my skin is sensitive and tends to react quite badly to nasty chemicals. Charlotte Tilbury, Stars In Your Eyes Palette

As many of you probably know Charlotte Tilbury rarely have an eyeshadow palette on its permanent collection in fact last year a limited edition one showed up almost at the end of the year at it was sold out in one day, So this year Charlotte surprised us with another palette the Stars In your Eyes Palette, this one is still a limited edition but lately I noticed that many of their “limited edition” became permanent or they are re-stocking due to the high demand, which is not surprise as this brand really knows what the make-up market wants. Elizabeth Arden: Dare To Bare Bronzing Gel Pearls

arden.jpg

Now days many people loves to use tanning products hoping to avoid the fair pale skin, in my case there is nothing that I hate most than tanning my skin, I don’t use tanning products and I avoid the sun as much as I can, but the truth is that sometimes because of my job I must stay outdoors checking out things fo several hours underneath the sun and obviously I get red and then olive, the worst part is when I take off all my clothes and i see part of my neck tanned or red and the rest of my shoulders, one side of my arms, my legs etc totally white. I decided to try the Dare To Bare Bronzing Gel Pearls from Elizabeth Arden Continue reading “Elizabeth Arden: Dare To Bare Bronzing Gel Pearls”

Shiseido: Synchro Skin Illuminator

shiseido

This Illuminator or highlighter is part of the Synchro Skin from Shiseido, I have been using it practically everyday as I only use few drops for different part of my face, that’s why this 40 ml bottle is very long lasting. The Synchro Skin Illuminator is a creamy highlither with a medium pigmentation, ideal to get a natural and sophisticated glow to a classy makeup look. The creamy formula is ideal to apply with fingers and they are easier to blend in the right area we want to glow, I also found it a bit more long lasting than powders specially for dry skin or even the oily ones during the cold months.
