Perfume Review: Precious Pink Jasmine by Trish McEvoy

On my way to make a list of best spring/summer fragrances options I managed to test Precious Pink Jasmine by Trish McEvoy, I have had few make up items from the brand in the past but never tried any of the perfume range and I was looking for floral options for those who are not fan of  “Too floral” perfumes, I was looking for something more delicate, unique in terms of notes and the right balance between floral and sweet, suddenly I remembered this fragrance so I decided to test it and it was a very nice surprise. Perfume Review: Body Paint by Vilhelm Parfumerie

“Paris in 1988. A secret cult of women. Matisse’s La Danse. Ritual dancing, whispered sounds, the ecstasy of burning skin. A maddening collision of ice cold pear juice and chili”  One of the latest releases from the house Vilhelm Parfumerie is Body Paint a quite interesting story different to all the perfume releases back in 2020. “Unflinching, exquisite femininity. Inspired by La Belle Époque. A woman, alive in the spotlight at the Moulin Rouge, enchantingly a glow in the soft candlelight of Maxim’s.”  The name and the short description were enough for me to feel tempted to try out this fragrance and sure enough it didn’t disappoint. Review: Huda Beauty, Gold Obsessions Palette

In honour of five years of Huda Beauty at Cult Beauty, the brand released a limited-edition eye shadow palette which stars nine gold-standard shades in three delectable finishes; there are pigment-packed, buttery mattes, metallics that rival liquid gold and shimmery toppers that emulate the decadence of fine champagne. Not to mention the all-new texture that features in the endlessly glamorous edit a pink shimmer and gold metallic base that’s actually adorned with flakes of gold . Dotting earthy neutrals amongst the varying tones of the titular shade. Continue reading “Review: Huda Beauty, Gold Obsessions Palette”

Perfume Review: Tendre Nuit by Isabey

First created by Isabey Paris in 1944 in New York, Tendre Nuit (Tender night) is remembered for its romantic name, like a whisper. The poetic and flamboyant plum colour of the bottle combined with voluptuous night Rose and animal Ambrette seeds fragrance are inspired by emotions of a tender and passionate night.

“It is 3 am in Paris, she is sitting on the edge of her bed in a room filled by sensations. Love is floating in the air, sweet and sensual like a night Rose. A warm breeze from the balcony thru the room is caressing her skin. The night is tender, her life is a dream.” Continue reading “Perfume Review: Tendre Nuit by Isabey”

Perfume Review: Fleur Nocturne by Isabey

In 1925, Julien Viard designed for the Perfume House Isabey, a little jewel made of crystal called  “Bleu de Chine”. Only few pieces of what was considered as collectors’ items, are still available; one of them at the “Museum of Perfume” in Grasse, France. The same year, Ludwig Moser designed another bottle, with a Crystal Master from Karlsbad: a dark amethyst with hand painted patterns in a lozenge shape bottle. When the decision to produce a contemporary version was taken, it was not possible to use the original name as it was, in the meantime, registered by another company. However, the spirit of “Bleu de Chine” was captured by realising an exceptional scent treasured in a bottle that was treated with a unique process known as “Sublimation”. The dark blue colour and the unique decor have been kept on the new edition. Continue reading “Perfume Review: Fleur Nocturne by Isabey”

Perfume Review: Prends-Moi by Isabey

When Isabey Paris created Prends-moi (take me) with a misspell on its label as ‘Prends-Mois’ in the early 30’s, it was  one of the last perfume created for North American market, with a minimalistic design. In the 30s it was a bold move to name a perfume Prends-moi (take me) but Isabey was a daring house.

Prends-moi (take me) is now relaunched among the iconic perfumes of Isabey Paris.  But much more than a simple fragrance’s revival, Prends-moi (take me) is an ode to love and passion. This is why the strong and emblematic red colour, a symbol of desire, is used. Continue reading “Perfume Review: Prends-Moi by Isabey”

If we talk about cult beauty products one of them is the Queen of Hungary Mist from Omorovicza, at the beginning I didn’t understand the hype for a face mist till I actually tried it out, the formulation, the scent and the effects on the skin apart of being a multitasking product can easily make anyone fall in love with it. In the last years we have seen the massive production perfume brands releasing flankers after flankers, new versions of what it used to be good perfumes and very few new in fragrances have absolutely nothing new to surprise the demanding and every day more exigent customers, so the niche perfumery became more and more attractive to people looking for something  different and here is one of those wonderful niche perfume houses: Floral Street Continue reading “Perfume Review: Wonderland Peony by Floral Street”

IMG_20191012_165854

One product I tend to run out quite fast is the Facial SPF and I have to admit I only use Body SPF during the summer, but something that worries me is that many people only cares about using SPF during the sunny months when it’s actually a everyday use product during the whole year, this is not only about the skin getting burnt, getting wrinkles in few years is also to avoid skin cancer, so today I want to share with you 3 products from Zelens, a great dermatological brand with very nice formulas. Perfume Review: Wanted Girl by Azzaro

C197A7B8-28EF-4C6E-9C2A-3A8C142374CA

As I have shared here, I consider myself an extremely olfactory person, I associate immense perfumes with people, moments or memories in a snap of my fingers. I also believe it to be one of my sharpest senses. Having said that, it is extremely important for me to use a memorable fragrance. Normally, I always opt for very hot fragranes; in my opinion, very seductive and feminine. Continue reading “Perfume Review: Wanted Girl by Azzaro”

Shiseido: Synchro Skin Illuminator

shiseido

This Illuminator or highlighter is part of the Synchro Skin from Shiseido, I have been using it practically everyday as I only use few drops for different part of my face, that’s why this 40 ml bottle is very long lasting. The Synchro Skin Illuminator is a creamy highlither with a medium pigmentation, ideal to get a natural and sophisticated glow to a classy makeup look. The creamy formula is ideal to apply with fingers and they are easier to blend in the right area we want to glow, I also found it a bit more long lasting than powders specially for dry skin or even the oily ones during the cold months.
