Perfume Review: Black Orchid by Tom Ford

If we talk about designers who are doing playing the beauty game quite hard we have to mention Tom Ford, his perfumes became quite popular and just like other luxury brands like Jo Malone, Aerin, etc under the wing of Estee Lauder is has a high price tag, the question is..is really worth it or is just a brand hype? I have tried quite a few of the fragrances from this house and yes some of them are not worth the money at all and others are really good and that’s the case of Black Orchid.

Review: Sculpted By Aimee, Cream Luxe Collection

When it comes to make up I always found creamy texture far easier to work with than powders probably because I blending with my fingers I manage to build up everything faster and just like I want it, so this time I come with three new in from Sculpted by Aimee the successful brand from the Irish make up artist Aimee Connolly, I tried a couple of her products before and they are amazing, well the brand has this new Cream Luxe Collection which are basically are individual creamy blush, highlighter and bronzer, a minimalist luxe collection for a quickly make up look without so many products.

In the skincare world Omorovicza is a well established luxury brand an probably the most famous product from the brand is the Queen of Hungary mist, a multitasking face mist that I personally tend to use it mostly in my morning routine. Well now the brand decided to release the Queen of Hungary night mist to add an extra to our night skincare routine, so today we will see what makes an interesting option for our night skincare routine

Perfume Experience: Sommelier du Parfum, A Service to Discover Niche Perfumery

Niche perfume brands are increasing more and more their participation in the market, but very few of them offer sample sizes to try them out, many times we do have to go to specialised perfumes stores that we have to be honest if you are not in London (or any big city) you would find it a bit complicated and in some cases expensive to get there, another factor is how many fragrances we can properly try in one go till our nose lose track of everything. There are so many brands, many olfactory families, notes, sillage, etc that trying to select one is basically a really a hard work

Review: Olverum, Pure Radiance Facial Oil

Facial oils are products I have integrated to my daily skin care routine as a way to nourish my skin and seal the routine to avoid transepidermal water loss, how days the formulas developed allow any skin type to be able to use them and this time I tried a facial oil from the brand Olverum, I never really tried the brand before but I knew they have a good focus on spa and well being. Review: Kiehl’s, Calendula Petal-Infused Calming Mask

When it comes to skincare routine I exfoliate my face twice a week, so after that I keep going with a serum and moisturiser although I tend to replace the moisturiser with a overnight mask as I consider them to nourish far better specially after an exfoliation, so far my favourites are the ones from Kiehl’s, this time I tried out the Calendula Petal-Infused Calming Mask. Continue reading “Review: Kiehl’s, Calendula Petal-Infused Calming Mask”

Perfume Review: Decadence by Marc Jacobs

When it comes to Marc Jacobs fragrances I honestly never understood the hype about the daisy perfumes, the are so generic and pretty poor performance I guess the bottle design do all the marketing but I hardly ever hear anyone mentioning the Decadence line, the first one came out in 2015 and even still today I keep finding so unique compared to many other options in the market. Perfume Review: Girl Of Now by Elie Saab

A perfume that captures the spirit of the “Now generation” spontaneous, playful and carefree this is what the Girl Of Now Perfume line is all about. While “Le Parfum” Collection has as major inspiration the famous bridal collections from Elie Saab, Girl of Now clearly has far more influence from the prêt à porter one those petals in the bottle design are quite similar to the flowers we normally see in the jackets from the brand. This is an intense perfume as clearly describes an intense girl who lives her live to the fullest hence why she needs a perfume that would match her feelings. Review: Institut Esthederm, Intensive Hyaluronic Skincare Routine

During the last couple of years we started to hear about Hyaluronic Acid applied to skincare products but many times there is a misconception that HA is reserved for dry skin, Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a sugar found naturally in our skin that holds water and helps keep it hydrated and plump. The HA within our bodies holds a thousand times its weight in water to not only retain all that moisture in our skin and joints, but also prevent all that moisture from evaporating into the air, now just like elastin and collagen this one also decrease in production as we get older so here is when we have to do our part to estimulate the production, internally as you can imagine our diet plays a vital role, no rocking science vegetables and fruits are in the top of the list, externally we can help our skin with skincare products like serums, creams, masks that keep the skin moisturised, helping to reduce the Transepidermal water loss. Book: Make It Happen by Jordanna Levin

Manifest things became a part of my journey in the last 7 months, same with meditation and awareness of my own thoughts, but before that I have wasted a good amount of time with the Law of Attraction, the universe and things that certainly made everything slower and didn’t see any progress with my desires so I decided to study and practice the law but from the law of assumption so I have read a couple of books that might help on the manifestation journey. Perfume Review: Molecule 03 and Escentric 03 by Escentric Molecules

We keeping discovering the Escentric Molecules family, this time is the 03 pair, you can check the 01, 02 and 05.

We have a Molecule 03 which is basically the main molecule in this case, Vetiveryl Acetate, an hybrid molecule, half-natural, half-synthetic. It is a fraction of vetiver oil, distilled from the roots of an Indian grass, which is then ‘crossed’ with acetic acid to remove the bitter and leathery aspects of the root. Then we find Escentric 03 that is a fragrance made with this particular note. Continue reading “Perfume Review: Molecule 03 and Escentric 03 by Escentric Molecules”

Perfume Review: Tendre Nuit by Isabey

First created by Isabey Paris in 1944 in New York, Tendre Nuit (Tender night) is remembered for its romantic name, like a whisper. The poetic and flamboyant plum colour of the bottle combined with voluptuous night Rose and animal Ambrette seeds fragrance are inspired by emotions of a tender and passionate night.

“It is 3 am in Paris, she is sitting on the edge of her bed in a room filled by sensations. Love is floating in the air, sweet and sensual like a night Rose. A warm breeze from the balcony thru the room is caressing her skin. The night is tender, her life is a dream.” Continue reading “Perfume Review: Tendre Nuit by Isabey”
