Perfume Review: Black Orchid by Tom Ford

If we talk about designers who are doing playing the beauty game quite hard we have to mention Tom Ford, his perfumes became quite popular and just like other luxury brands like Jo Malone, Aerin, etc under the wing of Estee Lauder is has a high price tag, the question is..is really worth it or is just a brand hype? I have tried quite a few of the fragrances from this house and yes some of them are not worth the money at all and others are really good and that’s the case of Black Orchid.

Perfume Review: Toy 2 Bubble Gum by Moschino

The spring comes with some new releases in perfumery and certainly one of the most cheerful not only with the bottle design but also interesting notes is Toy 2 Bubble Gum by Moschino. Not long ago I posted about Toy 2 and how much I loved the fragrance, this new flanker as the name says includes bubble gum on it so I couldn’t be more excited about it. Review: Kiehl’s, Calendula Petal-Infused Calming Mask

When it comes to skincare routine I exfoliate my face twice a week, so after that I keep going with a serum and moisturiser although I tend to replace the moisturiser with a overnight mask as I consider them to nourish far better specially after an exfoliation, so far my favourites are the ones from Kiehl’s, this time I tried out the Calendula Petal-Infused Calming Mask. Perfume Review: Mon Guerlain Sparkling Bouquet by Guerlain

New release from the Mon Guerlain family, thinking already in the summer, I was curious to see if they improved the quality or not, as I like the original Mon Guerlain but is not really a favourite of mine, is a very generic perfume and I would much prefer other options from the brand hence why I don’t have it in my collection. I didn’t like any of the flankers in fact I have two bottles of two of them and I’m seriously thinking to sell them as I never reach out for them. Review: Kiehl’s, Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil Herbal Concentrate

On another adventure to keep discovering Kiehl’s products I have been trying out the Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil Herbal concentrate, I have previously posted about the cleanser from this range that was a game changer when it comes to hormonal acne. Few days ago I had a bad break out after testing out the new Givenchy Prisme Libre foundation, I didn’t even remember the last time a foundation ended up being so nasty to my skin and luckily during those days this bad boy from Kiehl’s arrived so I had the perfect excuse to testing it out. Perfume Review: Toy 2 by Moschino

And it came back, the famous Moschino teddy bear that looks quite cute, Toy 2 has a lovely bottle design in my opinion nicer and more practical than the first Toy perfume, there is also a black bottle which is the masculine version and heard good things about it too, but so far this is the first fragrance I try from the brand, the bottle already got me but I’m actually quite curious how the fragrance is and how it performance. Perfume Review: Fleur Nocturne by Isabey

In 1925, Julien Viard designed for the Perfume House Isabey, a little jewel made of crystal called  “Bleu de Chine”. Only few pieces of what was considered as collectors’ items, are still available; one of them at the “Museum of Perfume” in Grasse, France. The same year, Ludwig Moser designed another bottle, with a Crystal Master from Karlsbad: a dark amethyst with hand painted patterns in a lozenge shape bottle. When the decision to produce a contemporary version was taken, it was not possible to use the original name as it was, in the meantime, registered by another company. However, the spirit of “Bleu de Chine” was captured by realising an exceptional scent treasured in a bottle that was treated with a unique process known as “Sublimation”. The dark blue colour and the unique decor have been kept on the new edition. Continue reading “Perfume Review: Fleur Nocturne by Isabey”

Review: Bioderma, Atoderm Body Care Routine For Normal, Dry And Atopic Skin

For so many years I didn’t really pay attention to what I have been using as body cream or shower gel, I have to admit that most of the time I used to choose highly scented products, never read the ingredients list, it was like the only part of my skin that deserved good treatment was my face and totally left my body aside. It was not till I got a bit of eczema due to the harsh products I was using on my skin but also to wash my clothes that I ended up being more selective and lately had an urticaria caused by stress so really had to be careful with my body care routine to don’t make the condition even worst.
