The spring comes with some new releases in perfumery and certainly one of the most cheerful not only with the bottle design but also interesting notes is Toy 2 Bubble Gum by Moschino. Continue reading “Perfume Review: Toy 2 Bubble Gum by Moschino”
When it comes to skincare routine I exfoliate my face twice a week, so after that I keep going with a serum and moisturiser although I tend to replace the moisturiser with a overnight mask as I consider them to nourish far better specially after an exfoliation, so far my favourites are the ones from Kiehl’s, this time I tried out the Calendula Petal-Infused Calming Mask. Continue reading “Review: Kiehl’s, Calendula Petal-Infused Calming Mask”
On another adventure to keep discovering Kiehl’s products I have been trying out the Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil Herbal concentrate, I have previously posted about the cleanser from this range that was a game changer when it comes to hormonal acne. Few days ago I had a bad break out after testing out the new Givenchy Prisme Libre foundation, I didn’t even remember the last time a foundation ended up being so nasty to my skin and luckily during those days this bad boy from Kiehl’s arrived so I had the perfect excuse to testing it out. In 1925, Julien Viard designed for the Perfume House Isabey, a little jewel made of crystal called “Bleu de Chine”. Only few pieces of what was considered as collectors’ items, are still available; one of them at the “Museum of Perfume” in Grasse, France. The same year, Ludwig Moser designed another bottle, with a Crystal Master from Karlsbad: a dark amethyst with hand painted patterns in a lozenge shape bottle. When the decision to produce a contemporary version was taken, it was not possible to use the original name as it was, in the meantime, registered by another company. However, the spirit of “Bleu de Chine” was captured by realising an exceptional scent treasured in a bottle that was treated with a unique process known as “Sublimation”. The dark blue colour and the unique decor have been kept on the new edition. Continue reading “Perfume Review: Fleur Nocturne by Isabey”

I love when new type of products show up in the market with new formulas, textures… specially if we are talking about toners, some people consider them unnecessary mostly because they have an inaccurate concept about what a toner does or they tend to think about the first ones in the market that were pure alcohol with fragrance, I remember them when I was a teenager with oily skin and acne and how much damage they caused. Continue reading “Review: Kiehl’s, Daily Refining Milk-Peel Toner”
One of the main issues I always had with my hair was the fact of how dry and damaged it always is, I always try different products but the fact that most of them have silicons that shows a fake healthy effect on hair is basically cheat to myself and make the issue even bigger so I decided to go back to some products I have tried before and worked well and as I repurchased it again i wanted to share so you will know what silicon-free products for the hair are out there. Because life is full of beauty hacks is always nice to have a book from where we can go back time to time to check certain information. I wish books like this and the whole social media was so available back then, but now is good to refresh some knowledge with this beauty. Even when essences have been on the market for a while, not many brands produce them, actually they are kind of exclusive to medium to luxury ones and still you would need to know where to find them, but still many people wouldn’t know what they are, how to use it and most important they are not meant to replace any other product. Continue reading “Review: Thalgo, Clarifying Water Essence”
First launch in 1924, “La Route d’Emeraude” The road to the Emerald Triangle from Isabey was designed by Julien Viard, in a faceted bottle and a jewel-like case, reminiscent of the splendor of the Far East. This perfume is inspired, with a touch of nostalgia, by the journey leading to the “Emerald Triangle” (Thailand, Laos and Cambodia), filled with the scents of Jasmine Sambac and blooming flowers. Many Orient lovers took the path to these faraway lands and experienced sensations that are recaptured in this re-edition of the mythical perfume. Gold leather (cordovan) effect, distinctive of La Route d’Emeraude previous designs, has been preserved. The fragrance has been slightly changed. Continue reading “Perfume Review: La Route d’Emeraude by Isabey”
