It’s National Lipstick Day and MAC Cosmetics one the most classic and iconic brands comes with a great deal so you can get your favourites and try new ones with this great deal opportunity.
Time to time some of my old brushes leave my collection after years of hard use, doesn’t happen on a regular basis as I always try to get the best quality brushes and others I just notice that I don’t have certain type brushes so I keep adding more. Well lately I have been trying out the brushes from Dear Dahlia a make brand that probably you saw on Instagram, never tried any of their make up but when I saw their gorgeous Blooming Brush Collection I gave it a go.
Stack on infinite layers of volume + length with our new breakthrough formula, which means layer after layer, lashes stay perfectly defined and feathery soft no clumping, no flaking, no smudging. Build customisable lashes to suit your style. This is the new concept MAC Cosmetics came with, quite smart as normally it becomes messy to try a more natural look for a more built up lashes style.
The MAC X Lisa collection by MAC Cosmetics has been created in collaboration with female K-pop artist Lisa.
This collection includes each of her favourite Lisa products with completely new shades inspired by what she loves most. The eyeshadow palette, blush, highlighter, lipsticks as well as eyeliners come in a very striking and pretty shiny purple packaging.
If you ask me about one brand with the best eye shadow palettes out there, well without a doubt I would said Huda Beauty, from the texture, quality, pigmentation to the shades selection. I previously tried two palettes from the brand I was quite surprised by the high quality that not even other top luxury brands have.
When it comes to make up I always found creamy texture far easier to work with than powders probably because I blending with my fingers I manage to build up everything faster and just like I want it, so this time I come with three new in from Sculpted by Aimee the successful brand from the Irish make up artist Aimee Connolly, I tried a couple of her products before and they are amazing, well the brand has this new Cream Luxe Collection which are basically are individual creamy blush, highlighter and bronzer, a minimalist luxe collection for a quickly make up look without so many products.
When it comes to spring/summer season I tend to switch my make up routine to something lighter, fresher and natural, heavy foundation, extreme highlighter and blush with a huge eye make up look always have been a huge no from me as I like a more sophisticated and elegant look, also because in the warm weather any heavy make up would practically start to melt giving us the urgency to remove it all. Stila did think about this so they introduced a simple but effective make up collection. Continue reading “Review: Stila Spring 2021 Collection”
Paul & Joe beaute released their Spring 2021 Collection following as always the minimalist and cute Japanese packaging design, the collection is quite simple following the make up trends from the Easters countries like Japan and Korea were they tend to go for the soft and natural make up looks quite similar of how French women like it. When Beautyblender announced the release of a foundation I was quite surprised as we all know the brand for the magnificent makeup sponges, so I have to admit I was a bit skeptical when Bounce came up, but after tested it for a couple of days in a row I put my hands up now is one of my favourite foundations for several reason not only the performance. Recently another member joined the family and again another lovely surprise: Re-Dew Setting spray, plus the two new Electrical Violet sponges because you never have enough beautyblenders specially if you work with make up. Continue reading “Beautyblender: Bounce Foundation & Re-Dew Setting Spray”
It has been a while since the last time I used a MAC foundation and normally would be the classics from the brand so when I saw this I noticed I have never tried it before and the name really caught my attention, I’m talking about the Waterweight SPF 30 Foundation. I said many times down here I do have normally oily skin except on winter that could actually turn into dry, another thing I always say is that I hate cakey make up and how I see on the street and even beauty consultants wear an overdose of high coverage foundation, no, no, no. Many of you would say “Elle I want full coverage because I have bad skin, I have acne, rosacea or any other issue” great you can get a full coverage but without making so obvious to others eyes, plus there is nothing more annoying of that heavy foundation sensation on your face, well here we have one solution. Continue reading “MAC, Studio Waterweight Foundation”
Less is more, from the “No Make up Make up” to the Glass Skin many women realise that looking natural and fresh could be far nicer than the diva look, because is not nice when you can notice the excess of foundation from meters away, and far more important a natural makeup would make you look far younger and would help also a lot to keep your skin younger but not all foundations do that that’s why today I want to share the one I have been loving lately and is the Perfecting Powder Cream by Valmont. Continue reading “Valmont, Perfecting Powder Cream Foundation”
Cult shades give full-face attitude. Powerful Lipsticks with a serious following get full monochromatic colour collections to match including Lipglass, Powder Blush, Matte and Frost Eye Shadow. This basically the idea of MAC In Monochrome, 6 different shades to create monochromatic looks, something not really common to see during these days but with the right colours it could actually look stunning. Continue reading “MAC In Monochrome Collection”

As many of you probably know Charlotte Tilbury rarely have an eyeshadow palette on its permanent collection in fact last year a limited edition one showed up almost at the end of the year at it was sold out in one day, So this year Charlotte surprised us with another palette the Stars In your Eyes Palette, this one is still a limited edition but lately I noticed that many of their “limited edition” became permanent or they are re-stocking due to the high demand, which is not surprise as this brand really knows what the make-up market wants. Continue reading “Charlotte Tilbury, Stars In Your Eyes Palette”
It became like almost a tradition that every year Lancôme choose to collaborate with a Fashion House to create a unique make up collection this time was the turn to the young emerging Proenza Schouler, a New Yorker spirit brand.
