Perfume Review: Tempête D’Automne by Jacques Fath

It’s always a such a nice pleasure to try out unisex fragrances that are so versatile either for men or women, with father’s day coming in few weeks or just to get a perfume totally out of the average releases I couldn’t be happier to talk about of my last discovery: Tempête D’Automne by the emblematic Jacques Fath house.

When I first saw the name and juice’s colour I thought it would be mostly for the cold months but it wasn’t the case. With the great combination of notes and performance I can tell this fragrance is great for any season as it adapt itself to any weather.

Autumn storm is the name given by Jacques Fath to the very short haircut he created for his fetish model Bettina, so that she looks “divine”. Her style was naturalness, freshness and allure. These elements are represented through a strong, dominant note of Sandalwood, which has great intensity and soft creamy facets. It opens with bright and sparkling notes of Bergamot, Orange and Mandarin. The signature is a twirl of creamy, woody and sensual notes.

Tempête D’Automne is the kind of fragrance that you won’t find on any street corner, the name means “Autumn Storm” and what we get in this perfume is the scent up in the air once the storm passed, the freshness and citrusy combined of bergamot, orange, mandarin, pink pepper, lavender and coriander opens up like walking in a forest right after the rain, when you inhale the fresh air and right when you exhalate you can feel the herbal smell of the green combined softly spicy and citrusy touch that pink pepper, bergamot and coriander give, almost like a good tea or when someone is making a spicy latte because the cinnamon is present here in a delicate creamy way, these freshness would last like 20 min to 30 min and start to fade to develop into a warm spicy amber fragrance.
It has a touch of sweet but is minimal, the woody and leather notes are there but just to improve the fixation of the amber is not overwhelming which is something I truly appreciate as many brands tend to abuse of these base notes.

Even when some notes are quite familiar to many, I have to say this fragrance is absolutely unique. When it comes to performance It easily last from 9 to 15 hours on skin with a sillage around 1 meter.
Is quite a versatile fragrance that can be easily be used by men and women, especially now that the weddings season, mostly for grooms this would make a great choice its unique, for being a niche perfume the price is quite reasonable.
