Crystal Noir is a fragrance that already has its years in the perfume market and continues to be a highly recommended perfume in the mass market because its price is usually quite affordable for Versace and the fragrance itself conquers easily especially during the cold season.
Today I am going to talk about Crystal Noir Eau de Parfum, there is also an Eau de Toilette version that has exactly the same bottle and color so you do not have to get confused and take a good look if you look for it online or in a perfume store.

For this perfume the so-called “headspace technology” is used, a method of capturing the aroma that the flower leaves in the air, instead of the aroma of the flower itself, thus obtaining an aerial sensation different from the usual one. A minimalist composition is also maintained, using few notes and turning the perfume into a fragrance between the floral and the oriental. According to Versace, this manages to “enhance the intrinsic elegance of the ingredients.” If we go into the official notes, we see that on the Versace website there is a list of black currant, fig and violet at the top, tuberose, plumeria and jasmine in the heart, and sandalwood, cashmeran, vanilla bean and heliotropin for the background. However, the two great olfactory poles of Crystal Noir are gardenia and amber. There is not much presence of the fruits, although they contribute to create a dark and succulent aura.
We will also notice a certain spicy character of very subtle spices that combine with the floral facet. Another note is coconut, which adds creaminess to the sweet and spicy character of the
gardenia. The base, together with the amber, uses white musks and you can see a certain woody idea radiating to the rest of the perfume phases.
The airy floral note may not be as close to real gardenia as some might expect, so it’s best to test its scent before purchasing. It’s hard for us to be disappointed if we expect a dark, seductive and intense perfume. Crystal Noir meets these characteristics without being too floral or too sweet, maintaining a balanced middle ground that draws compliments with ease.
Crystal Noir is not a relaxed and casual perfume, but rather conveys an idea of sophistication and elegance that works well at events, nights out, or even for work. The oriental side is very present from the first moment, giving Crystal Noir a winter or autumn impression, It has a good trail and good longevity.
