Perfume Review: Mon Guerlain Sparkling Bouquet by Guerlain

New release from the Mon Guerlain family, thinking already in the summer, I was curious to see if they improved the quality or not, as I like the original Mon Guerlain but is not really a favourite of mine, is a very generic perfume and I would much prefer other options from the brand hence why I don’t have it in my collection. I didn’t like any of the flankers in fact I have two bottles of two of them and I’m seriously thinking to sell them as I never reach out for them.

NOTES
  • Top Notes: Pear, Bergamot, Mandarin
  • Heart Notes: Peony, Lavender, Jasmine Sambac
  • Base Notes: Vanilla, White Musk, Sandalwood
DETAILS:
  • Gender: Feminine
  • Concentration: Eau de Parfum
  • Olfactory Family: Floral
  • Perfumer: Thierry Wasser and Delphine Jelk

Sadly this has the same issues as all the Mon Guerlain flankers, it smells extremely synthetic and plastic, it doesn’t last at all on the skin like 1 hour max and that’s it. This is a very light version of the Guerlain Florale, I don’t detect much from the original Mon Guerlain, it fades away so fast that doesn’t really have sillage or projection is mostly a skin scent.

It opens up like a floral quite heavy on alcohol it develops towards the lavender is not the nice one from the original probably because the vanilla and peony on this fragrance is pretty weak almost undetectable, the fruits are there but are not really predominant, it’s a bit powdery but not nice probably this is the part that make it last for a very short amount time.

Considering the short life, the fact the materials used are quite cheap and you can smell it with the heavy alcohol and the very synthetic smell, also is very generic doesn’t smell of luxury or at with personality it doesn’t justify the price tag Guerlain is asking for, specially with so many other brands releases that are really attractive. For me this fragrance is a huge no.
