Perfume Review: Decadence by Marc Jacobs

When it comes to Marc Jacobs fragrances I honestly never understood the hype about the daisy perfumes, the are so generic and pretty poor performance I guess the bottle design do all the marketing but I hardly ever hear anyone mentioning the Decadence line, the first one came out in 2015 and even still today I keep finding so unique compared to many other options in the market.

I have to say the bag shape bottle is a big plus, but still I discovered this fragrance years ago by a random recommendation of the seller lady at one shop, I loved it but some reason I never purchased it, it was one of the things that you want but keep kicking for later so finally came the day, I saw a couple of deals at Lookfantastic so I said right I’m going to get it and here we are.

Marc Jacobs takes its irreverent aesthetic to a new level of glamour and luxury with Decadence, a sensual fragrance as intoxicating as the woman who wears it. Decadence  seduces with sensual top notes of succulent Italian plum wrapped in golden saffron and velvety iris flower, then blooms in an extravagant bouquet of Bulgarian roses and creamy jasmine. With its opulent finish of warm, heady woods and attractive liquid amber, Decadence leaves a seductive trail and an unforgettable impression.

Very long lasting (+8 hours) powerful sillage and projection, this perfume has a lot of personality but is not really for everyone as some people might not like it because again is different, is pretty powerful and intense, one of my perfumer colleagues described it as “A luxurious and sexy business woman” and is true is for any woman who wants to smell of wealth, luxury and and a confident professional, definitely sexy and really hard for anyone to smells any similar to this which is surprising as this fragrance is from 2015 and still is very distinctive.

Marc Jacobs, Decadence is available in 30 ml and 100 ml at
