Review: MAC Cosmetics, Moon Masterpiece Collection

The Chinese New Year is around the corner and is tradition MAC cosmetics released a special limited edition collection called Moon Masterpiece, it contains, an eye palette, one dual blush, matte lipsticks, lip glosses, and one highlighter that I don’t have it but I have plenty of them from this brand and they are all great so I guess this one also does a great job. With a Pop Art packaging this is the collection to start a great year of the Ox.

EYESHADOW X 9: SEA OF PLENTY

An artful palette of nine rich, on-trend M·A·C colours in a range of textures, including Lustre, Satin and Matte. The saturated, soft and smooth shades are packaged in one pocket-sized compact for ease of portability.

  • Superior Sound: Light creamy pink white (Frost)
  • Create Your Own Luck: Soft golden peachy brown (Matte)
  • What’s Your Number: Sparking golden bronze (Frost)
  • You’re In Luxe: Coral pink (Satin)
  • Fortune Found: Bronze with red sparkle (Frost)
  • Omega: Soft muted beige taupe (Matte)
  • Free Spirit: Deep blackened brown (Matte)
  • Sea Of Plenty: Blue with blue pearl (Frost)
  • Stroke Of Fortune: Bright taupe pearl (Lustre)

This is a small palette with different type of shades quite complete in options for different looks without taking much space, nice option for anyone who travels often or want a minimalist make up collection. It has a very good pigmentation, easy to blend, not chalky.

Eyeshadow x 9: Sea of Plenty is £28 and is available at MAC Cosmetics Website

POWDER BLUSH DUO

A Powder Blush duo featuring soft satin coral-peach and red-orange shades, is a lovely powder/creamy texture with a fair level of pigmentation to work on the cheeks without over do it, the peachy colour gives a very natural look, a very good option for people who suffers from rosacea and wants to avoid the typical pink blush.

The Powder Blush Duo is £28 and is available at MAC Cosmetics Website

POWDER KISS LIPSTICK AND VERSICOLOUR VARNISH CREAM LIP STAIN

It wouldn’t be MAC without lipsticks right? so this collection five different shades of matte finish but the formula contains moisture-coated powder pigments that condition and hydrate lips. The result is the zero-shine look of a matte lipstick with the cushiony, lightweight feel of a balm, and that’s something I liked as I love the look of matte but I can’t stand how drying they could be for the lips. The colour for this collection, are more towards the orange-peach nudes, totally wearable.

Finally the collection includes two mini lip glosses, higher coverage and harder impact than ever before. Its watery-light formula glides on creamy and comfortable to impart long-wearing, saturated full coverage and an always-fresh wet finish

The Powder Kiss Lipstick and the Versicolour Varnish Cream Lip Stain are £20 each

So far is a nice small collection that remember is limited edition and they tend to sell pretty fast.
