Bioderma’s solution: Pigmentbio, a range tailored to treating hyperpigmented skin on the face or body with a complete programme of products to help brighten the skin.
Hyperpigmentation has always been one of my major struggles, because of the sun, the acne or the due to the roller coaster hormonal system I have I tend to have a bit of melasma on my face and is not always easy to find the right products that would help with a problem that tends to show up from one moment to other. Having a right skincare routine can help on improve the condition or even get rid of it completely always depending of each person, one of the latest releases from Bioderma was this Pigmentbio range dedicated exclusively to fight this issue so I gave it a go and now I want to share the experience with you.
PIGMENTBIO FOAMING CREAM

This foaming cream is a brightening cleanser that promotes the disappearance of dark spots and keeps them from reappearing, it contains a patented combination of active ingredients which regulates the biological mechanisms that cause dark spots. The formula is supplemented by AHAs (citric acid) and micro-beads (cellulose acetate) to gently exfoliate and remove impurities, smooth the complexion and reveal skin’s brightness, It’s soap free which makes it great for any sensitive skin and you can use as daily cleanser but also it can be used as a face mask once or twice a week: apply a thick layer for 5 minutes and rinse thoroughly.
The Pigmentbio Foaming Cream is available in 200 ml for £15
PIGMENTBIO H2O MICELLAR WATER

This micellar water is formulated for skin with pigmentation disorders, it gently cleanses and removes make-up from face and eyes. The micelles contained in its formula ensure impurities are removed while respecting the cutaneous balance. It contains a patented combination of active ingredients which regulates the biological mechanisms that cause dark spots for brightening effect and optimum prevention.
Although micellar water always have been promoted as leave on cleansers I strongly recommend to rinse it off at least with water, in my case I use it during the night as first cleanser to remove make up when I’m wearing it or just to make sure to properly remove SPF, pollution, etc, then I do the second cleanse with the foaming cream to make sure to remove the rest and give my face a good massage, so this is how we can get a double cleanse that is not aggressive with our skin.
The Pigmentbio H2O Micellar Water is available in 250 ml for £10.80
PIGMENTBIO C-CONCENTRATE

Bioderma has developed LumiReveal™ Technology. It works effectively and durably on the 3 biological stages that cause hyperpigmentation, while ensuring good tolerance:

- Elimination: Epidermactiv boosts cellular renewal by eliminating cells filled with melanin.
Pigmentbio C-Concentrate is supplemented by a cocktail of vitamins that are essential for the skin: vitamin C, E and PP which protect and strengthen the skin barrier. With high AHA/BHA (glycolic and salicylic acids) concentration, it provides a gentle, peeling-like efficacy that doesn’t damage the skin or dry it out, all this ingredients are vital for fighting pigmentation on the skin, probably you heard it plenty of times that Vitamin C is very important as antioxidant and improving pigmentation hence wise you should really incorporate it in your everyday diet and skincare routine.

I have been using the whole range together for almost two weeks and is amazing how fast I started seeing the results but also the texture of my skin has improved a lot, the products are quite gentle as they didn’t cause any harm with my rosacea issue and the patch I had in the right side of my face is almost gone together with pigmentation that hormonal acne tend to leave on my face and take ages to go away, so far this is an excellent range with actual results.
I hope you enjoyed the post and check out the other Bioderma’s posts for other skin topics
