We keeping discovering the Escentric Molecules family, this time is the 03 pair, you can check the 01, 02 and 05.
We have a Molecule 03 which is basically the main molecule in this case, Vetiveryl Acetate, an hybrid molecule, half-natural, half-synthetic. It is a fraction of vetiver oil, distilled from the roots of an Indian grass, which is then ‘crossed’ with acetic acid to remove the bitter and leathery aspects of the root. Then we find Escentric 03 that is a fragrance made with this particular note.
MOLECULE 03
Vetiveryl Acetate is basically a synthetic recreation of Vetiver and basically they smell quite similar, is a green, earthy, fresh and a bit woody grass scent, quite strong for some people and the the fragrance is unisex but I have to admit it could be more masculine than feminine, except for women who prefer something more neutral and not so girly.
Is probably not very friendly at the beginning, is better to let it dry down like an hour to get the magic from it, for me is like the smell after a heavy rain, when the ground, the grass and the wood are wet and get a heavy fresh smell. Unlike Molecule 01 and 02 this one is not really for layering, is not as complex as Escentric 03 but it does smell like a fragrance itself even when it only has one note on it.

ESCENTRIC 03
“I wanted Escentric 03 to bring out the scent impressions of these roots,” says Geza Schoen, “and show how they harmonise with each other.” Vetiver, ginger and orris 3 roots used in perfumery combined in one fragrance.
NOTES
- Top Notes: Green Notes, Lime, Mandarine, Pink Pepper, Black Pepper, Ginger
- Heart Notes: Freesia, Rose, Hedione (green jasmine bud), Jasmin, Orris, Cinnamon, Tonka
- Base Notes: Vetiver, Sandalwood, Iso E Super, Leather, Muscone (Musk), Amber, Costus
Escentric 03 opens like a fresh green citrusy scent with some spicy touch, as it dries down it becomes more like a green tea with some sweet floral notes on it but not too floral just enough to get noticed, once it settled down in the skin we can smell the woods, leather and musk, so it keeps a bit of the molecule 03 but is far more complex as it takes longer to develop and we have different stages first the fresh green lime then towards the green jasmin tea with the orris to then mix those with the woods and vetiver to get a green, woody spicy fragrance.
Probably one my favourite Escentric so far as is not something I tend to go normally, but is so different and unlike the molecule 03 this one is more unisex and probably not so sharp, is rare and nice, long lasting the projection is safe for example for an office same with the sillage.
