In honour of five years of Huda Beauty at Cult Beauty, the brand released a limited-edition eye shadow palette which stars nine gold-standard shades in three delectable finishes; there are pigment-packed, buttery mattes, metallics that rival liquid gold and shimmery toppers that emulate the decadence of fine champagne. Not to mention the all-new texture that features in the endlessly glamorous edit a pink shimmer and gold metallic base that’s actually adorned with flakes of gold . Dotting earthy neutrals amongst the varying tones of the titular shade.

For me this palette was a really nice addition to my collection, I didn’t have any specific gold shades palette, actually the vast majority I had were copper or champagne but not proper gold. It went very well with my current skin tone (I say current because my skin tone changes from pale to warm, then to yellow then to pink..).

They blend really well specially the matte shades that create the base, I heard comments about the gold glittery ones to be complicated to apply or that most people wasn’t successful with the final results probably because the way Huda beauty glittery or shimmery shades work is to press with your finger over the shade for few seconds that the finger would warm up the shade and then press gentle and slowly over the eye and try to do it in small steps as the pigmentation is really high and is easy to end up doing a mess or having eye shadow falling off if we pick too much.
So far a lovely mini palette to add for my collection, I wish Huda Beauty would realise a bigger one with more gold shades.
The Gold Obsessions Palette is £27 and is exclusively available at Cult Beauty
