Nothing could be more exciting than discovering niche fragrance houses with an offer totally different of the mass market out there, lately I have been trying something really special from a British nose: Azzi Glasser. After working for different brands and with a extensive career in perfumery she created The Perfumer’s Story by Azzi.

Today I’m going to review After Hours, spritz to harness glamour, magnetism and sensuality. This fragrance was inspired by the sense of excitement and mystery that fills a store after hours; the heart and soul of that store’s ambience, and the magic found therein.

This perfume is provocative and alluring. It features top notes of ylang ylang, freesia and neroli, with middle notes of oudh, bois de rose and vetivert. Beneath the layers, at its core, the scent boasts a blend of musk, olibanum, benzoin and patchouli. The fragrance is a celebration of glamour, potential and expectation.

The box of The Perfumer’s Story by Azzi perfumes are so stunning and perfect for a very nice gift

One of my favourite natural notes plays a important role in this perfume, the freesia. It opens with a wonderful rush of ylang ylang, neroli and clove before quickly being added to by a floral oud. The violet-like rose helps to accentuate the resinous quality, without it becoming too overpowering, and the patchouli and vetiver perfectly compliment a powdery undertone. There is a real richness in the base here that truly does say “late night sensuality”. As the fragrance develops on the skin the vanilla-like benzoin is replaced by the woodier olibanum, which then truly lets the vetiver shine.

The brand has many other “stories” to offer because that what the Azzi somehow tries to transmit there is a story to be told in each perfume, they are also unisex, on gender free, is about the person finding the scent that would make them feel identified, a perfume should be able to bring memories, emotions, confidence, we don’t wear perfume just for the sake of smelling good.

If you are searching for a wedding perfume to be unique and remind you that specific moment without smelling it everywhere in the street after, here you have an option.

After Hours by The Perfumer’s Story by Azzi is available on theperfumersstory.com and come in 30 mland 150ml
