Escentric Molecules, a house that created a quite unique concept in perfumery with single notes perfumes of molecules created in labs and then the “escentric” twin was a blend of noted having the molecule as star.
The new addition to the family are Molecule 05 and Escentric 05, having cashmere as main note in escentric 05 and the only one on Molecule 05, always the molecules perfumes are the trickiest ones so is always a pleasure to discover how they turn to be on the skin. Both fragrances are unisex, very easy to wear and very exclusive in the niche perfumery market.
MOLECULES 05
Molecule 05 celebrates Cashmeran which, as its name suggests, is subtly evocative of cosy cashmere sweaters with its smooth and musky character. Conceived in a laboratory during the late 1970s, Cashmeran has loaned its quirky, comforting aroma to a host of well-known scents since its creation, this multi-faceted fragrance marries musk and woody qualities having both dry and creamy traits that make you long to nuzzle into it. Add the tang of pine and the resinous characteristics of amber into the mix and you get an idea of this molecule’s power to captivate.
Elegant, minimalist with a good sillage of around 2 meters that you can softly feel it, with a duration of 8 hours and bit more depending also if you moisturised the skin prior the application. Is not offensive which makes it a great option to use at any office or reduced environment. The cashmere idea of cosiness is really there and so glad is not real cashmere or any animal ingredient on it.

Top Notes: Fig, Bergamot, Orange, Laurel, Rosemary, Basil, Juniper
Heart Notes: Hedione (Green Jasmine Bud), Cypress, Deconstructed Florals: Freesia, Iris, Jasmine
Base Notes: Cashmeran, Cistus, Labdanum, Musc, Ambroxan, Mastic, Iso E Super
The top note of Escentric 05 is very simple: bergamot to keep things light, and orange, an ingredient which has an emotional tone to it, bright and happy. It reflects the Mediterranean orange, Laurel and rosemary are typical Mediterranean plants with a spicy freshness, juniper brings a herbal tonality and cypress is a very dry, pungent wood. The drydown has two classic Mediterranean ingredients, cistus labdanum and mastic. Mastic is a resin produced by a small tree that grows especially near the sea. It has the clean sharp scent of newly-cut branches. Cistus is a small plant that grows everywhere in the Med. It has a sweet, leathery, balsamic quality which I love. And of course, there is around 15% of cashmeran, which gives the fragrance its piney warmth.
Escentric 05 is probably the best option for the hot summer we are having in the south of England, really fresh but long lasing compared to other fragrances that tend to emulate fresh orange and herbals fresh notes, finally a summer fragrance that is not ordinary ormoreof the same it was actually truly gorgeous.
