Perfume Review: Wild Vanilla Orchid by Floral Street

Sometimes when you are far away from someone or feel melancholic, a fragrance could bring all the memories or that person back, this little meeting experience was what I got as soon my nose felt Wild Vanilla Orchid by Floral Street.

Starting with the bottle, every time I talk about Floral Street perfumes can’t help to mention the bottle designs, so simple, classy with a lovely picture of the main note on them, I personally prefer to keep perfumes in a cabinet so they stay in a dark, cool and dry place, showing up bottles like this in my vanity is very tempting but I don’t want them to go off quickly.

I said that Wild Vanilla Orchid was capable to bring me memories because when I smell it it reminds me of my mum who I haven’t seen in a while as we live far away from each other but it kind of remind me some perfume she might used back in the 90s when I was a child, don’t remember what she used to wear but the strong vanilla remind me of  those times, is a floral gourmand with quite a character and my mum is a gourmand fragrance lover.

Vanilla Bean, Cashmeran, Ambroxan, Cassis, Lemon, Vanilla Blossom, Bamboo, Jasmine, Sandalwood, Patchouli Fraction, Red Orchid.

The vanilla is the star on this perfume, it has floral notes but is mostly a strong gourmand, very sweet and very long lasting with wonderful sillage, I said it reminded me about the perfumes from 90s, it has that touch of nostalgia but modernised to the current decade. Putting away my memories and now describing this perfume, is really a great option for Vanilla lovers, very sexy fragrance if I had to go on a date I would have a dilemma between this one which is sexy and kinky while something like Wonderland Peony is sexy but sweet and romantic. Here I feel a good blend of a lot of Vanilla, ambroxan, cashmeran, sandalwood, patchouli, is very sweet and powerful I don’t really smell the florals, I would say is not for everyone this is for those woman who want to make the world to turn around and look at her.

Something I have to admit about this fragrance is that you really need to let it to dry down and is better to try it out on the skin, if you spray it and smell it right away you won’t be able to enjoy the real DNA of it. I would recommend to get the mini discovery set – Light, is a set of vials with 5 of the fragrances from Floral Street collection, a good option if you want to try before getting a full size bottle and you don’t live in London.

Something very important for me is to use conscious beauty brands, Floral Street is Vegan, Cruelty Free and the packaging is a recyclable and biodegradable box.

Wild Vanilla Orchid comes in 10 ml and 60 ml, if you live outside UK you can find it also in Sephora.

Are you a vanilla lover? I hope you enjoyed the post
