Having oily/combination skin is a real issue, when I was a teenager I have suffered from a severe acne and due to the lack of information (or misinformation) I used to have a terrible skincare routine and today I’m paying the consequences of it. But the story doesn’t finish there acne could be hormonal, due to a bad a diet, stress and also using the wrong products could be causing it.Acne is not the only issue, having a prone skin to open pores, blackheads and blemishes is something that most of us have to deal with, that’s why today I wanted to share two products from Bioderma that are specific for this concerns.
Sébium is a specific range from Bioderma for oily/combination skin, prone for example to acne, it has different type of products and all of them are hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, non-drying, paraben-free, soap-free and no colouring agent. Today we are going to talk about a cleanser and a moisturiser.
Sébium Gel Moussant
This gel has an interesting texture and way to apply it, you need a little amount on damp skin and start to massage till it becomes a proper foam, I quite like this because it gives the chance while you clean your face to also give it a proper lymphatic drainage facial massage which basically improve the circulation and get better results, once is all converted to foam you would just need to rinse it and move to the toner, serums and moisturiser. The power of cleanse of the sebium Gel is pretty good and very important it doesn’t dry the skin, for a very long time we used to believe that a oily skin needed to end up dry and tight to be considered “clean”, and no a good cleanser would remove the excess of oil but will keep the skin smooth without any tightness feelings.
For my morning routine I wash my face once, and before bed I do double cleanse and used this gel as second cleanser (For the first cleanse I would use a clanesing oil or micellar water) For men it can be used as a shaving foam.

Sébium Global
The moisturiser is another tricky product for people with oily or acne, specially if some want to apply make up on top or just the SPF in the morning, Sébium Global is a dermatological treatment that biologically recreates sebum similar to that of healthy skin and stops the physiological process that causes lesions to form and maintains the acne state it regulates the quality of its fatty acids, to regain sebum similar to that of healthy skin and effectively prevent the appearance of pimples and blackheads. For the consequences, the combination of dermatological reference agents, AHA esters, salicylic acid and citric acid clears up the skin by eliminating pimples and blackheads, while zinc gluconate, combined with enoxolone, soothes and reduces redness caused by inflammation.
I found it to be a very complete moisturiser with a lovely texture that doesn’t leave the skin greasy at all so it can be used during the day and night.
Bioderma Sebium Global comes in 30 ml
I was really pleased to try out this range from Bioderma and wish I could have done it back in my early years, they are very gentle dermatological formulations, when I was looking at the Sebium Global cream I saw another ones like mat control, pore refiner, etc and is actually hard to decide but the Glibal cream fix most issues from oilness and breakouts
As Christmas is coming or in the future we would need to make a present I was thinking why not making our own gift set of product that we would actually use and with a sustainable packaging or wrapping, for the last couple years I have been enjoying to make my own gift sets depending of the person skin type or products I will know that the person would use. I think is great for teenager as for example I used to be clueless about how I should look after my skin and I have to admit i was lazy and didn’t do all what I do for my skin today, for boys and girls one cleansing gel and a moisturiser would be perfect. Same if the gift is for a man, the vast majority don’t really use the products on the sets, so a small gift of two simple skin steps would be a good start.
