Lancôme x Proenza Schouler Collection

It became like almost a tradition that every year Lancôme choose to collaborate with a Fashion House to create a unique make up collection this time was the turn to the young emerging Proenza Schouler, a New Yorker spirit brand. It was released around July, but as this is an Autumn collection I prefered to wait till the actual season arrive to show some of the products I have being trying out.

Clearly Proenza was in charge of the packaging design, but always keeping the DNA Rose symbol from the French Maison. Bright fuchsia, orange and blue replace the classic black from Lancôme, young but luxurious I spent a good time contemplating the packing before start using the make up.

CHROMA EYE SHADOW PALETTES

I have to admit these two palettes were my absolute faves of everything I tried, probably because Lancôme normally releases eye shadow palettes as limited edition so they are hard to find sometimes, and this collection brings two different options: A cold and warm option, both have 10 shades, some are powder and others creamy, all of them pretty pigmented and easy to work with, they blend so lovely. The warm colours have lovely mix of nudes, peachy and soft pink shades with one light and burgundy shades as the darker tones. While the cold palette has a some blue and light blue tones with pinkish nudes and some dark browns, I truly think both of them are a must have as they are so easy to use for an everyday make-up.

L’ABSOLU ROUGE x PROENZA

Proenza Schouler reinterprets Lancôme’s most emblematic lipstick in four characterful colours: two velvet-finsh opaques in daring orange and carmine, and two dazzling sheers, luminous burgundy and minimalist nude. Creamy and well pigmented, the 3 colours I have tried are 103 Minimal Red (deep red) 110 Graphic Orange (A Redish Orange) and 106 Pure Nude (a freaking gorgeous light nude).

MATTE LIPSTICK LIQUID SHAKER

The collection include 3 limited edition colors, the one I tried is the 193 Minimal Ocre. I haven’t tried the juicy or matte shakers before, but for leaving a semi matte finish I was very surprised as it really helps to moisture the lips instead of dry them up as matte lipstick tend to do, quite enjoyed this product.

DOUBLE ENDED LIP KAJAL

This double lip product has in one side a matte liptsick while in the other side we have a gloss, this collection has 4 different colours.

LE VERNIS NAIL POLISH, 361 PURE NUDE

Last but least, the collection also has a couple of nail polishes, now I was very intrigued as normally do not buy luxury nail polishes I would still go for high-end like Sally Hansen, OPI, Kure Bazaar, etc which are not cheap at all actually i would probably start buying Lancome because they cost almost the same, my problem is that even when I like to do my own manicure,I never manage to finish a bottle before it goes off, so I’m really picky choosing my colors. this one is a very simple nude that I pretty badly needed, because the ones I have are pinkinsh nude, beige nude, I wanted a real nude, so here we are!, it survived a week without top coat, so for me that says a lot as I truly do the house work, I sort out my garden etc, so quality wise was great, so you got me Lancome now I will purshaing your nail polishes more often!.

The Lancôme x Proenza Schouler collection is a limited edition first was exclusive to John Lewis & Partners but now is also available at the Lancôme website, which is good because some items that migh be sold out in one you can find them in the other.

I hope you enjoyed this post!

Love xoxo
